PAHIATUA.
PAHIATUA, Sept. 24. The Loyal Mangatainoka Lodge, AI.U., 1.0.0. F., met last evening, there being a good attendance. Bro. H. A. Gardner, N.G., presided. A candidate for membership was initiated into the order and was accorded lodge honours. The Fire Brigade wrote inviting the lodge to be represented at its ball. N.G. Bro. Gardner was appointed as representative. The final game of the series for the Park Challenge Shield provided an exciting finish, P.G. Bro. Yewen overtaking P.G. Bro. South to win by 451 points to 448. As the result of the recent social and dance promoted by the local branch of the Farmers’ Union the Women’s Division of the union will profit to the extent of £27 8s lid.
