RANGIOTU FACTORY.
ANNUAL MEETING
The annual meeting of the Ilangiotu Co-operative Dairy Factory Coy., Ltd., was held yesterday when Air E.- G. Beard presided. Other shareholders present were Messrs T. Heayns, C. Heayns, E. Simmons, G. P. Skerman, E. Howell, L. Noble. AJ C. Tooguod, L. S. Purdon and H. Hartley. The annual report and balance-sheet were adopted oil the motion of the chairman, seconded by Air Simmons. It was decided that the remuneration of the chairman and directors be the same as last vear. A hearty vote oi thanks was extended the manager, secretary and staff tor their loyal co-op-eration during the year. On the motion of Mr Purdon, seconded by Air Noble, the retiring directors, Messrs C. Heayns and G. P. Skerman, were re-elected. Mr F. 13. Jennings was re-elected auditor. The chairman made reference to the increase in the county rates, explaining that in view of this lie objected to the Manawatu County Council’s action in making a donation to the Palmerston North Free Ambulance. He also directed attention to a dangerous cutting on Pike Road. On the motion of Air Noble, seconded by Mr Howell, it was decided to write to the council asking that the cutting be attended to, and urging that it be cut away so as to permit of vehicles passing on the corner, and that the vision be improved. Failing the labour not being available, the suppliers to the factory would do the work, conditionally on the council making a grant or £6 At a subsequent meeting of the directors, Air Beard was re-elected chairman.
