PAHIATUA
PAHIATUA. Sept. 12. At a meeting of representatives of several local bodies and organisations last evening, the following local committee was set up to further the sale of health stamps in thi sdistrict: Chairman, Mr F. Bolton; treasurer, Mr G. S. Carrad (Postmaster); • secretary, Mr H. It. Ogg; and Mesdames E. Purdie, N. Priissing, Messrs L. D. Lovelioek and G. L. Stafford, and representatives of the Ministers' Association, Bush Federation of Women’s Institutes, District High School and the Press, with power to add.
A return Itughy match between the Pahiatua and Woodville Fire Brigades was played yesterday afternoon on tire Pahiatua Showgrounds and resulted in a draw, 11 —11. The scorers for Woodville were: A. Forbes (2 tries) and J. Borlace one; J. Charles converted one. . J. Bohn scored two tries for Pahiatua, and F. Mills one; Bruce Taylor converted
one. Mr E. H. Lett was the rereferee.
