(From Onr Own Correspondent.) OROUA DOWNS, Sept. 11. The weekly practice shoot was held nt the club’s range on Monday evening when there was quite a good attendance. Scores:—W. Spicer, 70—69—139: C. Uonlan, 68 —70 —138; J. Ilehir, 66—69—135- R Chrystall, 66—68—134; M. Mills, 64—70 134; C. Christenson, 67—66-—133; E. Vealc, 64 —63 —132; E. Christenson. 64—63—127; F. Shailor, 60 —66 —126; S. Considerable trouble has been experienced with the starter at tho factory this season, it having been flat when procured for use in the morning on several occasions. The trouble seems to bo general throughout the surrounding districts, this factory having to send practically to Dannevirke to obtain a fresh starter the other day. Messrs R. A. Nichols and M. Moffat have returned from a visit to Waipukurau where they played in a golf tournament held recently. Mrs J. Pallister, of Pctono, is the guest of her sister, Mrs F. J. Moffat, of Lake Road, Oroua Downs.
