LIBRARY FACILITIES.
INCREASE IN READERS. RUGBY, Sept. 10. The number of books issued annually by public libraries in the London and Home counties area has grown from 23,237,887 in .1924 to 06.905,176 last year, while in the same period books on their shelves have increased from 3,130,804 to 6,0J«,8/0. By means of inter-library relations and links with the National Central Library for students individual readers instead of being confined to the stock of non-fictional works at any library, have access to the resources of tire entire area, comprising several million volumes.
