MAORI GIRL’S DEATH.
Per Press Association. WHANGAREI, July 18. A half-caste Maori girl, Gladys Paratene, aged 12, was returning with others from a hui in the early hours of this morning when she fell from a lorry at Ahipara, in the Far North. She was crushed by tbe vehicle and expired en route to hospital.
