(From Our Owi) Correspondent.) SANDON, June 24. A popular member of Sandon’s younger set. Miss Gracie Ellerm, entertained a number of her friends prior to her departure for Stratford on Thursday evening. Tho gathering was held at the rcsdence of Air and Mrs O. C. Ellenn, Aft. Stewart Road, and the time was spoilt in playing progressive bridge. The prizes were won by Afrs G. L. K. Drew and Air K: All Pearce, and Miss Eve Galbally and Air R. B. Honderson (consolation). Mr Drew, on bohalf of those assembled, thanked Aliss Ellerm for tho very pleasant evening and wished her a happy stay in Stratford. Among those present were: Aliss Gracie Ellerm, Alosdames 0. C. Ellerm, G. L. K. Drew, B. R. Henderson, Afisscs Rona Dwyer, E. Galbally, F Anderson. Ella Pearce, Francos Palmer, Alonica Murphy and Afessrs C. L. Grace, C. Guscott, J. H. Smith, J. H. Palmer, M. Pearce, S. L. E. Pearce, J. Powell, F. J. Murphy and B. R. Henderson. Mr and Mrs W. J. Brown and family left to-day on a motor tour. Mr and Mrs C Eglinton have returned from their northern tour. Mr R- J- Weston, of the Post Office staff, has resumed Ins duties. Air J. AlclCenzie is at present relieving the postmaster, Air Rowan. The weekly meeting of tho ’fable ’tennis Club, held on Thursday, was well attended and undoubtedly the club is becoming stronger each week. The winners of the various grade competitions were as follow:—A grade, Dwyer Star, A. Matthews; B grade, Williams Star, S. L. Kent; C grade, Oppatt Star,' F. Meyer.
