OHAKEA.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) OIIAKEA, Juno 24. Ohakea and Sandon Rugby juniors met on the Ohakea grounds on Saturday, the local team being the winners by eight points to nil —a converted try and a penalty. Early in tile second spell J. Cole (Ohakea) and C. Mullins (Sandon) both had to leave the field through injuries. The first half was very oven and saw no score. In the second spell the Ohakea backs secured from a scrum and a good run by G. Wiggins saw him fall short by a few inches. The blues wore penalised for coming round the serum too fast and G Wiggins kicked a penalty. The blues made a determined attack, but the green back line was too strong, and the greens again attacked. From a loose scrum J. Northcote secured possession and with a good run crossed near the posts. G. Wiggins easily converted. The blues again attacked and S. Kent, with a good run, took play into the green twenty-five where tho greens were penalised for offside K. Henson’s kick went outside the posts and time was called. Mr G. McDonnell ably controlled the game. For Ohakea, E. Ingram and D- Ryan were the pick of the backs and in the forwnrds T Terry G. Gray and J. Northcote were tho best.' For Sandon, L. Sanson, K. Lumsden and S. Kent played best in the backs, and A. (Matthews and M. Cockburn in the forwurds. ' Miss Joyce Green, of Marton, has been the guest ot Mrs H. Ellery. Mr and Mrs T.
