(From Our Own Correspondent.) BULLS, June 24. Hie best cards handed in at the conclusion of the L.U.U. medal rounds, played on the Rangitikei golf links on Thursday last, are as follow:—Silver medal: Miss C. Wilson, 82 —10—72; Miss M. Trieker, 85—8 —75. Bronze medal: Mrs Trieker, 95—20 — 75; Mrs McKelvie, 92 —22 —77. In the junior grade Miss Galbally and Miss Willis tied for first place. On’ Thursday next*an allday tournament will be played, the L.U.U. medal rounds taking place in the morning, and a nine-hole foursome in the afternoon. Playing basketball last week, Bulls defeat ed Hangiotu by 12 to 4. This week Bulls has a bye, unless a friendly match ran be arranged, but next week Rongotea and Bulls will meet at Bulls. Colonel Closey, M.C., V.D., addressed a meeting of Douglas Credit adherents at Parowanui on Thursday evening. In spite of counter attractions there was an attendance of 26. After hearing an interesting address. 15 new members signed up, mak•ng a strong branch. The Town Board mot members of the Bulls R.S.A. and sports bodies on Friday evening, when various schemes for Town Tall improvements were discussed. Eventually it was decided to obtain a price for a modified scheme to improve the stage only. Mr Claudo Ellery, manager of the Golden Bay Dairy Coy., with Mrs Ellery, has 'icen spending a few days with friends in Bulls, and returned home on Saturday. Mr Ellery was well-known in Rugby and cricket circles hero a few years ago. Bulls Rugby juniors continued on their vinning way on Saturday by defeating Old Boys juniors by 13 to 6.
