MORTGAGE SHARES.
(Bv Telegraph.—Special to Standard.) WELLINGTON, May 25. ’Pile acting-Minister of Finance (Hon. A. - Hamilton) informed the “Standard’s” correspondent that, as applications for the £500.000 worth of Mortgage Corporation shares were still in transit to Wellington, he was unable to give details regarding the results, but ho could definitely sav that the subscription had been wellsupported.
