HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.

MEETING OF THE COMMITTEE. At a meeting of the Feilding Horticultural Society on Tuesday, Mr G. J. Fitzpatrick (president), being in the chair, it was decided to hold an exhibition of dahlias and other autumn flowers at the end of this month. This exhibition will take the place of the autumn flower show abandoned on account of the recent dry spell. The members also decided to hold a bulb show in the spring. Mr S. Mason, of Feilding, was appointed lion, secretary to the society m placo of Mr A. F. Dowrick, who has resigned The meeting recorded its thanks to Mr Dowrick for bis services to the society as secretary for the past seven years.
