(From Our Own ' Correspondent.) TIRITEA, March 12. Tlie Tiritea School and Women’s Institute held a successful combined picnic at Bledisloe Park. The day was bright and fine and a happy time was spent. Lunch was served under the trees. After lunch a lengthy sports programme was enjoyed, those in charge being Mrs Andrews for the Women’s Institute and Mrs Sinclair (teacher), Messrs Greer, Shore, Knudsen and Kilsby for the school. Mr Greer, chairman' of the School Committee, thanked the parents for their help in making the picnic the success it undoubtedly was. The annual meeting of the Moments Institute was held at Mrs I*. N. Andrews’s residence. There was a very good attendance of members and visitois. Mrs Andrews presided and extended a welcome to all present. Mrs Shere was elected president for 1935, Mrs Andrews not seeking re-election, and Miss Margaret Smith was elected 'secretary (Miss Kilsby also declined re-election): vice-presidents, Mrs Andrews and Mrs Milner; distributor, Mrs Brill; Press correspondent, Miss Doris Smith; committee, Mesdames Shere, Andrews, Milner, Brill, Kilgarriff. Kilsby and Miss Doris Smith, served afternoon tea Mrs E. Hasloch is on holiday in Weilington. Mrs B. H. Smith is spending a holiday at Plimmerton Beach Mr J. lam of Masterton, is spending a ho-iday with Mr B. 11. Smith. Mr H. B. Smith has returned homo from a lengthy holiday spent in the Wairarapa and at 1 etone.
