CUBA STREET GUILD. There was an excellent attendance at the monthly meeting of the Cuba Street Methodist Ladies’ Guild when Aliss Jarrett, a visitor from Australia, gave a short but interesting talk about tho work of the Sydney City Alission. The president asked Aliss Jarrett to convey to her fellow workers wannest greetings and best wishes for success in their labours. Airs P. J. Alcllor presided and extended a cordial welcome to members and visitors. Devotional exercises were led by Rev. 11. L. Richards. Roll call items were contributed by Alesdames A. Boniface, O. Waters, and J. Dorset, and elocutionary items by , Aliss M. Elder. A competition for the best article made from scrap material was judged by Aliss C. Mac Gibbon, B.Sc., who awarded prizes to Alls H. L. Richards and Mrs G. G. Hancox. Following afternoon tea Aliss Mac Gibbon gave an instructive talk on “Diet,” emphasising the necessity of well-bal-anced meals and giving due attention to the fact that “an apple a day keeps the doctor away.” Airs Alcilor conveyed the thanks of the members to Aliss AlacGibbon and Miss Jarrett. Airs Richards extended a hearty vote of thanks to the hostesses, performers and all who had helped to make the afternoon a success. . .
