ARMISTICE DAY.
FEILDING OBSERVANCE.
Armistice Day was quietly observed in Feilding yesterday by a small gathering of returned snldiers at the memorial in the Square, a.t which there were also present Hon. J. G. Cobbe, Minister of Defence, and the Mayor (Mr C. E. Taylor). A small representation of citizens was also in attendance, and a wreath was placed on the memorial. Following the two minutes’ silence, the returned men attended service at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, where Rev. D. R. McDonald, a former member of the N.Z.E.F., delivered an appropriate sermon, the occasion likewise being the subject of special reference in the other Feilding churches.
