HOROWHENUA.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) OTAKI, Nov. 9. A meeting of the committee of the Otaki Football Club was held last night, the president (Mr D. Richards) presiding. The finances of the club were considered and as there was a deficit it was decided to hold euchre and a dance. Mr W. H. Reynolds offered £1 Is worth of bulbs as a prize.

While Mr F. W. G. Rule was cycling across the Otaki traffic bridge on Monday evening the front wheel of bis bicycle collapsed with the result that he received a nasty fall. Besides a shaking, he received slight abrasions.
