(From Our Own Correspondent.) FOXTON, Nov. 9,
A meeting of the Dorcas Society was held on Monday, Rev. H. S. Kenney presiding. Mrs Proctor reported that for the last two months 18 parcels had been sent out and twelve received.
At the fortnightly dance and euchre in aid of the Foxton Beach Improvement Committee reference was made to the death of Mrs E. N. Buddon, of Palmerston North. Eulogistic reference was made to his activities in connection rvith the beach and a motion of sympathy to the relatives was passed.
