TELEVISION ADVANCE.
COMPANY FLOATED. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, May 22. A new television company was floated to-day. The Marconi Company and Electric and Musical Industries, Ltd., have combined, and will hold shares equally in the new concern. Lord Inverforth is chairman of the board of directors, which includes the Marchese Marconi, and Mr Alfred Clark, chairman of Electric and Musical Industries, Ltd., and the managing directors of the two concerns. The new company will be known as the Marconi and E.M.I. Television Co., Ltd. The agreement relates to high definition television.
