WOODVILLE, April 17. The monthly meeting of the Papatawa Women’s Institute was held on Saturday, Mrs Martin presiding. There were 40 members and friends present, seven new members being welcomed. The potato growing competition was won by Mrs 11. Bradley with 721bs, while Mrs Dickens won tho monthly competition, with the best school lunch. In the junior competition, Miss Hera Bell carried off the prize for a buttonhole of flowers. An interesting demonstration on box covering was given by 'Mrs Dickens. 'lt was decided to change the meeting day from the second Saturday to tho first Friday in the month for the forthcoming year. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mcsdemcs Barker, Sage, ‘\V. Harding and Mabey.
