WILLARD HOME BOARD
MONTHLT MEETING HELD. The monthly meeting of the Willard Home Board was held on Monday, the vice-president (Mrs T. It. Hodder) presiding in the absence of the president (Mrs E. A. Collins), who is still indisposed, and was granted leave of absence until the annual meeting in June. Others present were Mesdames E. Birdsall (lion, secretary), E. Bett, D. J. Lovelock, Greig, K. McDonald, J. A. McLeavey, E. C. Barnett, R. L. C. Aitchison, C. F. Spooner, D. Watson, J. W. McConnon, E. G. Bennett, A. Andrews and Miss M. McLagan. Mrs H. E. Pacey, a life member who was a visitor from Wellington, was cordially welcomed to the meeting. Apologies for unavoidable absence were received from Mesdames F. J. Nathan and G. H. Bennett.
Arrangements for the forthcoming sacred concert were finalised and Anniversary Day was fixed for May 23. Reports from the visiting committee and relieving assistant (Miss M. Reid) were received. It was stated that Mrs Ross was carrying out her duties very capably in the absence of the permanent staff. The financial statement was received and accounts were passed for payment.
