PHOENIX HOCKEY CLUB.
DANCE FUNCTION. To mark the approach of the winter activities, the Phoenix Hockey Club held a dance in the Cosmopolitan Hall last night, when a jolly evening was enjoyed by a company numbering 75 couples. The floor was in excellent order and dancing to a professional orchestra was continued till a late hour. Mr -V. Turner carried out the duties of M.C., and a dainty supper was provided. Two novelty dances were presented, and at suitable intervals in the dancing Mr Colin Bergersen delighted the company with vocal items. He also furnished an extra at the piano during the supper break. So successful was the function that it isa intended to hold another in the near future.
