It is a far call to the days when William Carey braved the disapproval of the authorities and set forth to India with the message of the Gospel of Christ glowing in bis soul. Long since has been forgotten the sweeping triumph of Wilberforce when the House of Commons decided that “India’s peoples” were to have the 1 message of Light, but Carey was only the forerunner of a mighty army of valiant souls who have “set forth to seek a foreign shore.” This army still continues to move and two more young men who are shortly leaving for India will speak at the Oroua Hill to-night at 7.30. They are Messrs Alan McKenzie and Gordon Junk, of Napier. Both are ex-graduates of the Now Zealand Bible Training Institute and should be able to give a forceful account of how the Spirit of God has led them.
