MARTON, April 9. The official opening of the 1034 golf season took place on the Marion links on Saturday afternoon. The weather was ideal and over 60 competitors spent an enjoyable day. Mixed Canadian foursomes were played, the winners being Mrs K. Glasgow and Mr T. J. Graham, 81—12-69. Other good cards were: Miss Lambert and F. L. Coleman, 83—13—70; Miss E. Smith and J. F. Openslia.w, 83—13—70 ; Dr. and Mrs Church, 86—15—71 ; Mr and Mrs Franke, 85—14—71 ; Mr and Mrs Holdaway, 86—15—71. A putting competition resulted: Men, C. Holdaway (after a tie); ladies, Mrs Franke.
