SEARCH FOR BELL.
THE EMDEN MEMENTO. SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 23. Reported as having been stolen from the Australian War Memorial Museum, tlie bell of the German cruiser Emden is being sought here. The police disclosed to-night that they were checking incoming vessels, stating that Mr W. 11. Childs, Police Commissioner at Sydney, had requested a search. * A German known as Charles Kaolmel is believed to have taken the bell, the police stated.
