GLOWING TRIBUTE.
TO LORD JELLICOE. WELLINGTON, Sept. 23. A glowing tribute to Lord Jellicoe was paid by the Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes, when speaking at the luncheon given by the Government in honour of the visit of the Australian warships Canberra and Australia. Mr Forbes said that, when in England recently, lie had had the honour of again meeeting Lord Jellicoe, who, next to His Majesty the King, was the most popular man at Home. It did not take him long to discover that the famous Admiral still had a very warm spot in his heart for New Zealand. In the course of his remarks, RearAdmiral R. C. Dalglish, commanding H.M. Australian Squadron, said that when writing to his old friend, Lord Jellicoe, he would tell him that he was still remembered and loved and revered by the people of New Zealand.
