SECOND NIGHT’S PERFORAIANCE. Admirably presented, Hie Palmerston North Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society’s three-act production, “The Best People,” was again submitted to an appreciative audience last, evening, and this second performance fully justified the approbation which this work lias met. 'llie acting of the .amateurs was first-class, and they are to bo congratulated on their success. Humour was kept merrily rippling through the whole of the performance, with bright incidents and witty dialogue, which was greeted with a generous measure of applause. . . There is excellent scope for the principals of a well chcscn cast under the capable direction of Air F. Cousins, who knows what the public require from a comedy production. ■ . . « . . The season ends to-night, and it is anticipated that there Kill be a large audience present to witness a most talented presentation.
