IN BANKRUPTCY.
CREDITORS’ ADJOURNED MEETING. The adjourned meeting of creditors in the estate of Frank Raven, insurance agent, of Palmerston North, was held yesterday afternoon before the Deputy-Official Assignee (Air C. E. Denipsy). when bankrupt was represented by Mr H. H. Hutchison. Creditors present were Atessrs G. Halse (representing the A.M.P. Society), Iv. Shaw, A. D. Campbell, T. F. Relling (for Messrs Relling and Lees), J. E. Mewett (Brick and Pipes, Ltd., and Jackson and Sons, Ltd.) and G. L McGregor (for Mr K. Shaw and Alessrs Collinson and Son, Ltd.). Bankrupt was further examined as to ill’s financial position when his liabilties were contracted, and stated that though he could not find the cash immediately, he could offer £125 to his creditors. A resolution moved by Mr Campbell that this should be accepted and bankrupt’s discharge facilitated was lost by four votes to two. Subsequently, on the notion of Mr McGregor, it was decided that bankrupt’s discharge should be opposed until lie paid 15s in the £. The meeting was a.djourned sine die.
