AVIATION EXTENSION.
LINKING THE EMPIRE. (British Official Wireless.) Received September 22 8.10 a.m. RUGBY, Sept. 20. The International Air Traffic Association will hold its half-j-early conference in London next week when 30 countries will be represented. Mr Woods Humphrey, managing directorof Imperial Airways, will preside. National air transport companies are extending the work being done byprivate aeroplane owners in encouraging Continental touring. One of the important developments in British air transport is the extension of the Indian Air Line to Calcutta and thence, next month, to Rangoon. By Christmas it is hoped that the line will have been extended to Singapore and then the final link between England and Australia will remain for the Dominion to complete.
