PIGEON RACING.

The Palmerston North Homing Club flew their first north race of the season on last Saturday, from Taumarunui, a distance of 102 miles air line. The birds had a following wind and fairly good velocities were recorded. Results were: —G. Smith’s Live Wire, velocity 136.26yd5., 1; R. Wills’s Red Day, j.352.22yd5., 2; R.
