PRESENTATION.
Mr J. G. Read was met at a social function by the members of the Cosmopolitan Club last evening, when Mr L. Anderson, a vice-president of the club, presented him with a handsome chiming clock in view of his approaching marriage, while he was also asked to accept a silver sandwich dish on behalf of the bride-elect. A concert party, under the direction of Mr W. Marshall, presented a musical programme and a very, happy evening concluded with the singing of “Auld Lang Syne.”
