AUSTRALIAN LAMB.
LONDON, Sept. 19. A valuable piece of propaganda for Australian lamb was achieved by the South Australian Trade Commissioner (Mr McCann), who displayed at Portsmouth, in the presence of 400 master butchers, who are holding a conference there, the first arrivals of the new season’s South Australian lambs which are entered for the Cooper Cup competition. They sold at 7)d per lb, which is well above the ruling price, also the highest Australia has obtained for a long period.
