SOCIAL FUNCTIONS.
The increasing popularity of the City Band dances was again in evidence last Saturday night, there being a record attendance. Some 96 couples were present and the floor was filled to capacity, the dancers thoroughly enjoying themselves with music supplied by a professional orchestra, while Miss Conlan played extras which were very favourably commented upon by a number of dancers. The following were the prize winners: . Monte Carlo, Miss Johnston and Mr Thomson: Lucky Gay Gordons, Mrs Trepo and Mr W. Walden ; Monte Carlo, Miss G. Stratton and Mr McMinn; the lucky door ticket being held by Mr E. Hosking. Mr Adams carried out the duties of M.C.
