Crawford and McGrath, who are staying here for a brief period en route to Australia, will play exhibition matches to-morrow. Sept. 19. Mdlle. Suzanne Lenglen, the famous French ex-champion tennis player, has opened a year’s engagement at Selfndge’s store. She gave demonstrations wearing a linen combination costume of her own invention, including a pair of shorts reaching three inches below the knees covered by a coat-like skirt buttoned back and front. Mdlle. Lenglen said she approved coatless shorts, “if worn privately, but in public, no.”
