ARATIKA.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) ARATIKA, Sept. 19. A jolly dance was held at Aratika on Thursday evening bust, when the young men of the district entertained the ladies. The dance took place in Air J. Waller’s shed which was kindly lent for the occasion. Mr r yde, of Bunnythorpe, supplied both old time and modern music, and Mr G. P. Burr and Mr R. Gore played extras. Several novelty dances were held, the Monte Carlo being won by Mr and Mrs Walker and the statue dance by Miss N. Williamson and Mr V. Hansen. A word building competition was won by Miss J. Burr and Mr V. Hansen. Mr N. Walker carried out the duties of M.C. Supper was served by the gentlemen who were later thanked for the very enjoyable dance.
