PERSONAL.
Mr J. McAnelly has been transferred to the staff of the Palmerston North railway station from Taumarunui to take the position formerly occupied by Mr H. Pederson, who recently resigned to take up farming pursuits. Mr S. G. Nortliey was yesterday admitted to hospital suffering from pneumonia. His many friends will wish him a speedy recovery. A Timaru telegram records the death of Mr Thomas R. Mackay, well-known in southern stock and station circles, acclimatisation matters, and ' sporting.
