WORKING FOR RATIONS.

(To the Editor.) Sir, —Your correspondent “Relief Worker” is doing a lot of squealing about having to work for rations. I suggest to “Relief Worker” that he go out into the country on an over-the-fence job where he will soon find out what a day’s work is, and so give him more genuine cause to grumble about giving a day’s work for something that he thinks he is entitled to, for nothing. To my knowledge about 80 per cent, of the relief workers are willing to work for their rations, and tlrank our Mayor, and others for being able to receive an extra benefit. — Yours, etc., NOT AFRAID TO WORK.
