The Federal Attorney-General, Mr MenzieSj urges legislation making for uniformity in the marriage laws of various States, as this is the only solution for cases such as that which arose when recently a widow in New South Wales was unable to obtain administration of her husband’s estate, because her marriage to him was held to be invalid, tie married her over 20 years ago, having divorced a former wife, but neglected to have the decrees nisi made absolute.
