DEATH FROM BURNS.

TRAGEDY NEAR HAMILTON. Per Press Association. HAMILTON, Sept. 18. Shocking burns resulting in her death in the Waikato Hospital yesterday were sustained by Miss Bessie Ferguson Keith, aged 45, at Hillcrest on Saturday. Deceased, who was a resident of Auckland, was visiting her sister, Mrs W. T. Nelson, and was cleaning clothes with benzine during the absence of Mrs Nelson from the house when the spirit was ignited by flames from the kitchen stove.

Her clothes caught fire and she rushed outside, rolling herself on the grass to extinguish the flames. When Mrs Nelson returned, she found Miss Keith with her liair and clothes burned off. She was rushed to hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries early yesterday morning.
