GARDEN PARTY.
At. St. David's garden party at the residence of Mr and Mrs J. H. Gilchrist, Terrace End. yesterday afternoon.
The results of the various competitions were as follow: —Sponge cake, Mrs Kelly; sweets, Mrs J. Mewett; novelty, Miss Pvke. In the weightguessing competitions the cake donated by Mrs Forster was divided by Mrs Falconer and Miss Paterson, the weight being 101 b. The cake donated by Mrs Stewart weighed 41b 2oz, and was won by Mrs Luca.s. The lamb donated by Mr A. J. Jackson (Albert Street) weighed 451 b, which was correctly judged by Mrs Sutton, Park Road. The treasure limit was won by Miss P. Howard. The committee desires to express its thanks to Mr P. Townsliend for transporting much of the material required for the party.
