OROUA DOWNS.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) OROUA DOWNS, Sept. 27. On Monday evening tho weekly practice shoot was held in the Memorial Hall, and although the weather was rather inclement several members attended. At a meeting oi tho committee it was decided to carry on for three more weeks according to the attendance of members. The following were the scores recorded for the evening: L. Burling, 69—67—136; C. Christensin, 68—t?136; E. Christensen, 69—67—136; J Robert son, 69—66 —135; M. Mills, 65 —o7-—132; C. Conlan, 63—69—132; H. Dunn, 65-65-130; J. Morris, 63—62—125; A. Marchant, 60— 65—125. Endeavours are being made to procure a trophy which will be shoe for in the three last nights, from next Monday. Tho following will represent the Rifle Club at Awahuri on Friday evening: L. Burling, M. Mills, W. Spicer, C. Christensen, D. Funnell, C. Conlan. Welcome rnin commenced to fall throughout tho district on Monday afternoon and if warm weather is experienced from now on tho milk supply should increase rapidly.
