DAMAGE TO TAILSHAFT.
VESSEL RETURNING TO PORT.
Received September 17, 9.50 a.m. SYDNEY, Sept. 17. Tho Port Vhangarei, which left Sydney on Thursday for New Zealand, via Port Stephens, has suffered some damage to tho tailshaft, according to a message received at Newcastle. It- is expected that she will roturn to Newcastle or Sydney for repairs. She is understood to be able to make the journey under her own steam.
