Tho cricket professionals oil the tour of Australia will receive £4OO, plus a bonus based on the receipts, and £1 per week on shipboard and 30s ashore. The amateurs will receive £l5O allowance. All will dine in the public rooms and have similar accommodation.

BREAKDOWN OF M. W. TATE.

LONDON, Sept. 16. Mrs Tate said that her husband, M. W. Tate, the famous cricketer, became suddenly hot- and faint and collapsed while packing. She summoned .a doctor, who reported that Tate was “a mass of nerves and may be on tho verge of a breakdown.”

It is impossible to decide whether he will go to Australia, pending a specialist’s advice.

SPECIALISTS OPINION,

Received September 17, 8.45 a.m. LONDON, Sept. 16. Tho doctor says that Tate, though suffering from a nervous breakdown, is quite fit physically. A specialist considers that Tate’s illness is not as serious as was at first imagined. In all probability he will be fit to go overland on Thursday subject to complete rest and quietness meanwhile.
