SALE AT FEILDING.
GOOD DEMAND FOR FAT SHEEP.
There was another good sale of fat pheep at Foikling this morning, a hardening tendency setting in from the start and showing every indication of being maintained. A shorter yarding of fat sheep contributed to the keen demand. Hoggets advanced from Is to Is Gd. Dairy stock also met with a brisk demand. Prices up to 1 p.m. were as follow: Fat sheep.—Shorn wethers, 11s Id to 12s lOd: woolly wethers, 14s 6d; ewes, 7s 6d, 9s lOd, 10s 4d, lls 7d to 12s 9d; maiden ewes, 14s 4d; hoggets, 10s 9d, 12s 9d, 13s Bd, 14s 6d to 15s 7d. ~Tho first of the season’s spring lambs were yarded and sold at from lls 9d to 20s. Dairy stock.—Heifers in milk, £5; heifers r.w.b., £5, £6 os, £7 10s, £8 to £9 10s. Springing pedigree Jersey heifers, lOigns. to 12Jgns.
