(From Our Own Correspondent.) OROUA DOYY'XS, Sept. 12. On Friday evening a friendly match was fired between tho R.S.A. Rifle Club and tho Oroua Downs Rifle Club at the home club’s rango. Tho following were tho scores: Oroua Downs (5 aside) : U. Conlan, 68—70 —138; L. Burling. 67—69—136; AI. Alills, 67 — 66—133; C. Christensen, 66—66 —132; D. Funnell, 67—64—131; total, 670. R.S.A.: R. A. Jones, 69—67—136; H. Jones, 66—68 134; K. Romley, 67-67—134; H. Rivers, 67 —66—133; E. Christensen, 66—65—131; total, 668. At the conclusion of the shooting the visitors were entertained at supper by the Oroua Downs members. During an interval Air C. Conlan (captain) and Air AI. Alills (secretary) made soveral remarks of appreciation to Air R. A. Jones for the trouble ho had gone to to fit the club with its lighting system. On Alonday evening a fair attendance of members of the Rifle Club gathered at the range for tho practice 6hoot. The following are tho scores recorded: L. Burling, 70-78-140; H. Rivers, 68-69—137; C. Spicer, E. Christensen, H. Dunn, K. Cotton, J. Conlan, A. Albrey, J. Robertson, J. Alorris and B. Frith (emergency). Anyone unable to attend is asked to notify the secretary before Saturday evening. Mr YYL Aloffatt, of “Glen Head,” Oroua Downs, is making good progress towards recovery from his recent accident. Airs Geo. Brown, of YY'aikanae, and Air L.
