CHURCH SERVICES.

A special address will be given at the United Evangelical Church to-morrow night when the subject will be “Eve.” Her wonderful creation irom Adam's Rib, and the Significance of it.” The pastor, Mr Wesley E. Richards, proposes to treat the subject from the point of view of the reliability of tho Scripture record, and also to set before his hearers the wonderful significance attaching to Mother Eve's creation as set forth particularly in tho New Testament. A warm welcome is extended to all. The 110th anniversary of the establishment of the Methodist Maori Mission will be celebrated to-morrow in the two Methodist circuits of Palmerston North. At St. Paul's, the morning service will be taken by Rev. A. J. Scamer (general superintendent) and Maori helpers, while the vice-president of the conference, Mr J. Voss, of Christchurch, will be tho preacher at 7’p.m. Mr Voss will conduct the morning service at Cuba Street Church and Mr Seamer and Maori helpers at 7 p.m. The service at Aokautere at 2 p.m. will be conducted by Rev. A. N. Scottcr. B.A: that at Longburn at 2.30 by Mr Voss. The offerings are to be devoted to the Home and Maori Mission Fund. The annual Horae Mission demonstration will be held next week, at St. Paul's Schoolroom on Tuesday at 8 p.m., and at Cuba Street Schoolroom on Wednesday. The members of the party will appear in their national costumes. ‘‘Overtaken in a Fault” is the . tonic upon which Mr Hinrichscn . will speak'at the Communion service in the Church of Christ to morrow. At tho Gospel service Mr Hinrichsen will speak on "How Shall We Escape?” Miss M. Day will be the soloist. It will be necessary to be early in order to get a seat. Baptisms will take place on Wednesday night. The subject for tho Gospel meeting tomorrow evening, to be held in the Orient Hall, Church Street, is “Spiritism is Demon-ism.” The speaker will be Mr R. W. Gillman. A hearty invitation is extended to al to hear the address.
