DISEASE IN THE ISLANDS.
RENEWAL OF COMBAT. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Aug. 24. Dr S. M. Lambert, medical representative of the Rockefeller Foundation in the South Pacific, is visiting Wellington with the object of furthering the steps being taken by the Government authorities for the more active prosecution of the hookworm and yaws campaigns in the Samoan and Cook Islands. The Western Samoan Administration and the Rockefeller Foundation have been co-operating in the battle against these scourges and a vigorous campaign is being renewed.
