OT'Last year there was published at the Jlßbuest of Lady Bledisloe a paragraph t’o’ the effect that while she deeply aptireciated the courtesy of those who, 'fbllowing an old-established and ja&aceful custom, have presented her Spith bouquets on her visits to insti-» mbiitions or arrival at various funcpions, she would prefer that, during [the prevailing, period of financial stringency arising from economic adversity. the custom should be allowed to fall into disuetude. As, however, the custom has been discontinued onlv to a limited extent, Her Exjjcellency desires to announce again rahat she would feel relieved if in all Senses where the presentation of bouSBuets to hei may be contemplated she [might, while grateful for the kind jahought, be allowed to accept' the will for the deed.
