AUCKLAND TROUBLE.
RETURN TO ORDINARY BUSINESS URGED. STATEMENT BY MAYOR. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, April 21. , An early return to the ordinary busiless routine in the city is urged by the klayor, Mr Hutchison, who expresses She opinion that the late shopping light should be held as usual to-mor-;bw, and that those retailers whose Windows are still barricaded should, if possible, remove the barricades by the veek-end. He has the assurance of the (xecutive of the Unemployed AVorkers’ Association that in the event of any ’ecurrenee of destruction the members >f the association will assist in protecting citizens and property. | With regard to the uenmployed porkers’ strike, the Mayor says that ihe representations of the men’s association have been discussed by their delegates with him and the chairman the harbour, transport and power wards. It is hoped to arrive at a corntoon basis for submission to the Governinent.
