MINIATURE RIFLE CLUB. (From Our Own Correspondent.) SANDON, April 20. The usual practice shoot was held on Monday night when tho form' ehown was fairly good. Detailed scores were as follow: H. Arrangements for tho hard-up dance to be held this week were finalised. SCHOOL COMMITTEE AFFAIRS. At tho meeting of householders hold on Monday night appreciative reference was made to the services rendered by Mr H. V. Bond (chairman), and F. W. Tostovin (secretary). Both of these officors have done a great deal of work. Mrs E. N. Butler specially referred to tho work done by Mr Tostevin in connection with the team for the sports meeting. Mr H. V. Bond, on behalf of the school committee and parents, thanked Mr H. J. ; Fagan for his efforts in connection with root growing and calf roaring competitions. Mr Fagan in his reply said that ho had derived much pleasure and felt sure that the competitions wero going to bo of great benefit to the children, who wero very keen and he anticipated bigger competition during the coming year. ANZAC DAY SERVICE. , Mr H. J. Fagan presided over a moderate attendance to arrango for the usual service on Anzao Day. It was decided to hold the service at 2.30 p.m. Rev. P. J. Cossum was appointed to arrange the order of service with the other members of the clergy available. Mrs W. E. Pearce was appointed organist and Mr A. K. Drew conductor of the choir.' Mr H. J. Fagan said he would arrange for a wreath. It was decided to take up a collection to defray expenses and the balance to be handed to the Feilding branch of the Returned Soldiers’ Association.
