CYCLING AND ATHLETICS.
Mr T. Griffen presided at a meeting of the Palmerston North Cycling and Athletic Club, when a considerable discussion took place on the advisability of holding the road races on Saturdays instead of Wednesdays, and it was decided that the next race be held next Saturday, starting from Rangitikei Street to Awahuri and back, a distance of about 14 miles. Points will be given to club members for a points prize over the whole season. Mr T. Bruce was appointed starter and Mr P. Griffen liandicapper. The race will commence at 2.15.
