EX-KING’S DEATH.
LONDON, Feb. 18. The death is announced of I'rederich August, ex-King of Saxony, at the age of 67.
The former Royal house of Saxony, which ceased to rule in 1918 when the kingdom was declared a Republic, was amongst the oldest - in- Europe, dating back to 1089. The last king, the late Frederich August, succeeded to the throne in October, 1904, on the death of. his father. King George. He married Princess Luis© of Tuscany in 1891, but twelve years later the alliance was dissolved. In the meantime three princes and three princesses comprised the Royal family.
